Privacy

SwingArena has no ads and no tracking pixels. Here is what we collect and why. This data is the responsibility of SwingArena; contact hello@swingarena.gg.

What we do with your swing

• It is public. Other golfers see your swing in matchups, on the leaderboard and on your profile, under your username.
• It must be yours to post. Upload a video you own or have the right to share.
• You must be 13 or older.
• It helps train swing analysis. Videos and the votes on them may be used to improve and train swing analysis models.
• You can delete it. Open the menu on your swing and choose Delete swing, or delete your account in your profile settings. You can also email hello@swingarena.gg.

What we collect

• A random id in a cookie, so your votes and uploads stay together before you sign in.
• Your account, if you sign in: your email address, your username, and the country and handicap if you add them. Your email is never shown to other golfers.
• Your votes: which two swings you saw, the order they were shown, your pick, how long you watched, whether slow motion was on, and the time.
• Your uploads: the trimmed video (sound removed), a still frame, the camera view, club, the handicap if you gave one, and which version of the terms applied when you uploaded.
• Hide my face: if you turn this on when uploading, your head is found and blurred on your own device before the upload starts. The video without the blur never reaches us, and the blur is part of the stored video, its thumbnail and its share images. It cannot be undone later, by us or anyone else.
• A one-way hash of your IP address and your browser type, used only to stop spam and abuse. We never store the IP address itself.
• Reports you send about a swing.

How we use it

To run the site (show matchups, compute ratings, prevent abuse), and to research and train swing analysis software. Votes become anonymous training labels; they are never published with your cookie id.

Who sees it

Uploaded swings are public on SwingArena and anyone with the link can watch them. We use service providers to run the site: Vercel (hosting), Convex (database), Google Cloud and Cloudflare (video storage and bot checks), Google (sign-in) and Resend (email). They process data for us under their own security terms. We do not sell personal information.

How long we keep it

Videos stay until you delete them or we remove them. When a swing is deleted its video and still frame are erased; the anonymous vote records about it are kept. Abuse-prevention records are kept for up to a year.

Your choices

Delete any swing from the menu on it, or delete your account and everything in it from your profile settings. Deletion requests can also go to hello@swingarena.gg, and so can requests for a copy of your data. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have further rights, and you can complain to your data protection authority.

Children

SwingArena is not for children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 uploaded a video, report it or email us and we will remove it.
