Terms of use

SwingArena is a free website where golfers compare swings and rate them head to head. It is run by SwingArena ("we"). By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use SwingArena.

The short version

Post only swings you own or have the right to post. They are shown publicly to other golfers. You must be 13 or older. Videos and votes may be used to improve and train swing analysis models. You can delete your swing or your account at any time.

Who can use it

You must be 13 or older. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you.

Your uploads

Only upload a video you filmed yourself, or one you have the right to share, showing one golf swing. Make sure everyone in the video is fine with it being shared. Do not upload anything offensive, sexual, violent, hateful, or anything that shows someone else's personal information.

You keep ownership of your video. By uploading, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, crop, compress, show and distribute it on SwingArena and in links shared from it, and to use it, together with the votes it receives, to research, train and improve swing analysis software, including software in other products we make. This licence lasts until you delete the swing, except that models already trained, and anonymous vote records, do not have to be undone.

We remove sound from every upload. We may refuse, hide or remove any upload at any time, for example after reports from other golfers.

Voting

Vote honestly. Do not use scripts, extra accounts or anything else to push ratings up or down. We may ignore votes and block anyone who tries. Ratings are crowd opinions for fun and learning. They are not coaching and not a measure of anyone's worth as a golfer.

Deleting

Open the menu on your swing and choose Delete swing. To remove everything, delete your account in your profile settings. You can also email us at hello@swingarena.gg.

Reporting

Use the Report button on any swing if it breaks these rules or is your video and was uploaded without your permission. For copyright complaints, email hello@swingarena.gg with the swing link and the details of your claim.

No warranty

SwingArena is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to 50 US dollars. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is important we will say so on the site. Using SwingArena after a change means you accept it.
